Introduction
Our policies, practices, curriculum provision and commitment to safeguarding are based on DfE guidance: Keeping Children Safe in Education (DfE 2024). As we work together to ensure that we safeguard and promote the welfare of all children, we need parents/carers to know that due to our knowledge and understanding of child development, along with our day to day contact with very young children, we are well-placed to observe outward signs of abuse, changes in behaviour and/or failure to develop.
Parents/Carers should be aware that where concerns are raised that indicate a child may have been subject to any form of abuse, our response will be in line with Liverpool Schools Safeguarding Charter. In this way, school will report concerns to Liverpool CASS in line with our Child Protection Policy.
As a school we are committed to working in partnership with other agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children.
Our Child Protection Policy is updated at least annually and can be viewed on our safeguarding noticeboard in the main hall, and on our website.
Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility.
